ABOUT MY PEOPLE SCHOOL
ATlas & Arrow is CURRENTLY WORKING WITH A SCHOOL & ORPHANAGE
IN Kayabwe, UGANDA
My People Christian Junior School is working daily to rescue and provide for many children in need in Uganda. They are currently one of the only free schools in the region and in Uganda, education equals safety. This school provides a safe loving environment for children who were rescued out of children's prisons, refugee camps, child marriages, abusive homes, neglect or who were otherwise left to either fend for themselves or left to die. At the school the children are cared for, fed, loved and educated.
We believe fully in them and have joined in their vision to transform Uganda one child and a time. We believe that we can raise up the next generation to be the future leaders of Uganda. We believe that no one person can save everyone but that everyone can save one person. What if we all did just that? That is what we are doing here and that is why we are working with this school.

"I chose to work with Pastor Grace because he had a plan and a vision. He was already on the ground and doing the work. He has dedicated his whole life to rescuing these children and just needed the resources to see his vision fulfilled and transform Uganda one child at a time."

Quality of Education
At My People Christian School, we offer the very best education possible in Uganda. The children are taught entirely in English and all of our teachers are University certified. They are taught the curriculum required by the government and we also supplement with our own curriculum and Christian education. These things set us apart as one of the best schools in Uganda.

Equipping children for a life of success
It is the vision at My People Christian School to have a school that is totally and completely self-sufficient, that takes in any child in need of an education and raise them up to be the leaders of tomorrow. We currently have 812 students in our school, 576 of which are in our full time care. The school consists of a Kindergarten, Primary School and Secondary School. Next on the list will be a Vocational School and a Bible College. By providing every level of education and the best quality of education possible, we believe that we can shape tomorrows leaders and transform Uganda.

"Atlas & Arrow is the response to a question that has been burning in my heart for a long time. That question was, "Surely there has got to be more?" I felt a tugging towards something bigger, something deeper and something with more of a lasting impact; something that when we look back on the grand scheme of things we can confidently say that we made every effort to help those in need. Scripture is abundant with verses talking about taking care of the poor, orphans and widows. And that is exactly what we aim to do. "
I am ready to chase my lion (2 Samuel 23:20), I am raising my spear to the 800 (2 Samuel 23:8), (quote from Mark Batterson's book, Chase the Lion)...to make my messes matter and my chaos count..." (Quote from Sleeping At Last song, Jupiter)

About our FOUNDER/ UGANDA SIDE
My People Ministries was founded and is being led by Pastor Grace Kabuye. Grace is the head pastor of his church in Entebbe, Uganda and they have also planted several churches in villages around the area. In addition, Grace and his wife Rita started a Christian School and orphanage in the rural village of Kayabwe. This couple has dedicated their lives to serving both their church and the children in the school and orphanage.
Grace and Jill met at a conference in Redding, California at Bethel Church. At this point, Grace was traveling around Uganda preaching and using all of the donations that he received to care for the 87 children that he had rescued. He had little to no outside help whatsoever. When Grace and Jill met, Jill had been praying about starting a non-profit to help orphans and widows but had little direction other than that. Once Grace and Jill became friends she quickly realized that Grace needed some additional support to continue doing the work that he was doing. They are now in an amazing partnership and are working hard to rescue children everyday. |
